Tips for a safe trade

gotem. finds the trades, you make them in person or by post. A few simple rules so it goes well.

• Check who it is

  Look at their profile, their successful trades, how long they've been here, and their other social networks (the links on their profile). A brand-new empty account: be careful.

• In person: a public place

  A convention, a tournament, a shop, a café. Never at someone's home, never somewhere isolated.

• By post: with someone you trust

  Check their successful trades and how long they've been here. Photos of the cards first, tracked post, and both send at the same time.

• Under 18: come with an adult

  A parent or a trusted adult comes with you, and knows who you trade with and where.

• Look at the cards together

  Take them out of their sleeves, check the condition, the language, the edges and the shine. Only give after looking.

• Nothing personal

  Your address only for a postal trade, in the conversation, once the trade is accepted. Never your phone, passwords or a code received by message.

• Money, only with a seller

  Between members, it's cards for cards. With a seller, any extra is settled between you. If someone asks for an advance or a transfer for no reason, refuse and report.

• In doubt? Report it

  On the trade's page: « Report » lets us know, « Block » cuts all contact. The other person doesn't see your report.
